I'm going to put up my first good handspuns up on etsy (www.bitsiebrand.etsy.com), along with my handmade goodies you can find on: www.bitsiebrand.com! These are like my babies, I carry them everywhere so I can look at em and touch em. It would be nice if you all liked them too! :)

ah, a new journal. I wanted to document my crafty adventures, perhaps having a journal will make me a bit more proactive in taking pics of my projects and FO's! I just recently started to spin, using a drop spindle I found on ebay for cheap along with some cheap roving. Last Saturday I visited my local LA spinner's guild and met a bunch of really nice spinners, and *gasp* I bought my first wheel! It's a Louet S17, and I love it. It's unfinished and probably very plain looking, but I think it looks pretty modern- and it fits my budget big time :)I also bought a bunch of plain roving to try to dye and make pretty colors. We'll see how that goes. So needless to say, this weekend was spent spinning little skeins of yarn and getting to know the wheel. So much fun!
here are some pics for your viewing pleasure!

first plied yarn, handspun corriedale singles, with magenta cotton nubs and plied with a gold thread :)

light teal corriedale/mohair mix I carded with my trusty dog brush "carders"

light pink faux cashmere singles
Yay for spinning! :)
